How to get stereo separation without using detune or reverb.

I really just want simple stereo separation. Panorama plugin only goes mono, or full separation. Anything in between goes silent.

  • What do you mean exactly by "stereo separation"?

    • Yeah

I'm not too worried about this feature anymore

I've achieved the desired effect with a Stereo Enhancer fed into a S.Detune

    • Based on the manual for the spreader, it works on Mid/Side separation. You can achieve this as outlined in the mastering tutorial for AT on YouTube.

    • Similar to FL "Spreader" or plugin of equivalent function.

  • Hold up I'm an idiot. We have the stereo enhancer plugin TT

    • That's why I put a stereo enhancer after or before a S.Detune. Then I fine tune the mix of each of the effects. I've gotten good results by doing it that way.

    • Yes, however it's not exactly going to sound great when it comes out on speakers because of phasing issues. I learned that a few years back after someone pointed it out. It may sound good in the studio but if you're in the club listening, it's not going to sound right
