I-like many others on this platform-am an audiophile, I love maximum sound quality. If we can just download mp3 and ogg files, we won’t get full sound quality, or even ability to hear what on earth we downloaded. So please, I want a third button that says “download as WAV”
I will be eternally grateful

PLEASE AND THANK YOU
You can download your own tracks as a .wav from inside the draft. "Download mixdown".
i didnt even create this and was really helpful thanks
oh yeah
I mean other peoples tracks
click remix and bounce tracks ;)
In all honesty though, I think it's OK that there are no options for this, because it would make stealing tracks even easier.
It would be cool if we could download mp3s/oggs at a higher bit rate though.
some people offer downloads only, no remixes
on paper, it'd be a good idea to do this IF the creator allows it. HOWEVER, at Audiotool's current state, it's far from a good idea due to security (theft) reasons. offering WAV freely would mean you can steal the song that doesn't allow downloads to be stolen in full quality. i won't be sharing how that works, but unfortunately, it's possible with .ogg.
with that said, until there is some sort of safeguarding from such exploits (I doubt since it's pretty difficult) ORR make it an option, I think those would be the best 2 routes in this situation.
Besides, you can probably just ask the artist to send you the wav. Unless you are somehow shady in what you are doing here, many artists here won't have a problem with sending it to you.
I really don't think it should be an option. The original WAV files are IMHO intellectual property or should be regarded as such unless you are given the permission. I personally wouldn't have too much of a problem with a dedicated button/option for higher quality download (which you could enable/disable as the artist ofc) OR streaming based on flac/other high-quality formats (which I think would be the smarter option).
As someone who uses Bandcamp to release albums, I also want to be able to download as .wav files since you can't upload ogg or mp3 to Bandcamp.
You can download your own music as .wav from within the studio.
"Download mixdown"
@callycus they want .wav download not from the studio. like .mp3 or .ogg, from outside the studio

Yeeaah...no. "as someone who uses bandcamp to release". They want to download their own music, or they want to steal high quality files. I will assume the former and told them the fastest way to do that (no need to publish to download your own mixdown).
