'Viewer' addition to the new global collaboration feature

I think it'd be cool if a feature was added to the current one allowing you to adjust the level of power people have before opening up your draft. It could create some really interesting situations if you had a draft that only you and/or a few people actually had access to edit but a whole load of people could still participate by viewing the draft and chatting. Some of the more obvious uses would to have a draft you could share and get ideas from the community for, or you could show some of your production tricks in real time to newer users or just to anyone interested in general, etc.

Not sure how difficult it would be to add but it would add a ton of depth to the already great addition, so thanks for your consideration :)

As far as I know, this is already possible. You can invite other users as "Editors" or "Viewers" only. You can also invite everybody, just friends or individual people in either status.

I tried to test it earlier but when I selected viewer next to the input bar where you can invite specific users, and selected "everyone" they still joined as editors. Maybe I messed up somewhere but the only way I've seen is to go through each person that joins and set them to viewers yourself.

Maybe i'm misunderstanding what you're saying though, the only way to currently invite everyone is through the status of editor or am I wrong?

You can still open the "Get Together" window and change users' status from Editor to Viewer, but this is only possible after they have already joined your project. You're right, the status can't be decided before they join.
