The Gif would only animate on your profile page. Everywhere else, it would show as an image still.

I would not expect gif files to have audio. Also, I mean that gifs would only animate on profile pages. Other areas, such as comment sections, network tab, etc. would only display a display a still image.
I do like this idea though, and it can be implemented like Discord has their's where the gif only animates on mouse hover.
That's if the general consensus is that it causes clutter. But personally I think it'd be fun

This would be a great feature for patrons and an additional incentive to pledge. Apollo's idea of them only moving while hovered over sounds perfect.
