Or maybe you could control how much you zoom out, because I think the amount you zoom out in Next is a lot more than the original and I prefer to use the mouse to zoom anyway.

Yup, it gets annoying after a while. Especially when I know where I'm putting devices. Same thing with samples and such. The zoom out is just too large.
I agree 100%.
I noticed this too, and it does kind of get annoying when adding multiple devices in succession.
