In the old audiotool, there were options in each track to add gain and other effects to the timeline. Mind bringing these back? (Sorry if I am wrong and they changed the way to do it).

Yes, the Flash version had little plus (+) buttons next to each device in the timeline to add automation tracks to it. These buttons have been removed in the current version but you can still automate any control you want in any device on the desktop area by choosing "Automate parameter" on its context menu.
Thank you!
Okay, I'm kinda dumb. How do you get to the context menu?
On the desktop view, just hover any control on any device with your mouse and press the right mouse button. The context menu for that control should appear.
@jordynth @itz_stitch Actually, if you weren't already aware, the developers moved some things around in the new update and this is still achievable (personally I don't like that changes aren't covered in detail)
In the timeline, the device icons leftmost of timeline track labels are actually more functional than aesthetic (kinda stilly in my opinion, but...) here's the breakdown:
for automating parameters: right-click a device icon in the timeline, navigate to the automate menu, and select the desired parameter (you can explore the context menu for other functionality)
for moving to the device in the desktop view, left-click the device icon in the timeline
@apollo forgot about the automate menu on the timeline device icon, thanks! :)
Thanks!
