in my opinion, being able to download audiotool tracks with a lossless file format would allow me to easily publish music i make to sites like bandcamp. plus, there are noticeable sound differences in mp3 and wav/flac.

To be honest, $12 per year isn't that much. You can also bounce the whole track, but remember, AT allows 30 seconds only.
