The automations allow us to only work with sharp angles. What about having curves and bends in the automation like FL Studio's? A smooth bend curve. I think this could be beneficial to the Audiotool App.

I like the idea. I'll have to check out if there's a reason this hasn't been implemented in the first place (maybe performance)
Ah I see.
Oy. I believe I requested something like this, not sure. I do heavily agree with having curved / smooth automations.
i like it
The problem is a mathematical one: one should be able to cut a curve using the razor tool and receive two new curves adhering to the same function. I believe a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spline_(mathematics) -like curve can do the job, but I not sure if it gives you enough freedom without introducing too many parameters.
From my 3D modelling experience, the mathematics can get complicated. You have to prevent the curve doubling back on itself (more than one vertical value for a given horizontal value) and also prevent unwanted overshooting between two successive identical vertical values. That in addition to the cutting problem you mentioned.
What about something like FL Studio has? 3 points and the point in the middle controls the curve?
I don't know much about this but I do understand this can be complicated.
well i mean you can do this but it requires the manual twisting of a midi controller knob so yeah this a good idea
hmm
this is actually a good fucking idea dude
ya c, i don't know what the heckus yall talkin bout
