Saturation

I have used Saturation in Reaper(DAW) a lot and it's somewhat different than distortion, I looked it up and barely understand it, but I LOVE IT! It makes my audio feel all warm and full! It is the only distortion type effect I can use on vocals! From what I've read, there are 3 types of saturation, Tape Saturation, Tube Saturation, and Transistor Saturation. Ya know, GO BIG! I want all 3! Transistor makes it sound analog? Tube is like a distortion relative. Tape makes is sound like hardware? I would greatly appreciate it if this is added. Thank you for your time!

Are you asking for a saturator? If so, AT has one, it's the exciter

Yes, Saturators typically process lower freqs and Exciters process higher freqs

The Exciter in AT serves both purposes (:

ok is there a particular tone range that would serve as a saturator?

I'm thinking 75-250

"Tape makes is sound like hardware" Well, tape makes it sound like it was recorded on tape. That particular effect doesn't involve only simple saturation like you could achieve with a Tube pedal, but also wow and flutter (slight variations in pitch due to the speed of tape not being absolutely constant). You can get something close with an extremely subtle chorus pedal.
