In the Flash version of Audiotool, devices would snap to a visual grid that appeared in context of other devices.
This was a very useful visual component to help with organizing the desktop.
However, in Next, this is no longer the case, as not only are the grid lines no longer visible, but snapping feels... drastically different, perhaps unnatural. But, that could just be my bias.

On my screen, the thin white alignment lines appear only when moving devices already on the desktop, but not when first dragging them there from the device panel. Also, Next adds a bounding box to the alignment lines and it makes the display a bit too messy. In Flash it was only the alignment lines (no bounding box) and it looked cleaner to me.
