Rack/Container Device

Add a rack/container device - where you can put in and connect AT devices and then use the rack itself as a single device.

Saving and recalling rack presets as well, if possible. These can then be shared between users!

This would be pretty cool, even if it was something like Patcher in FL rather than the racks in ableton. Would make post-processing a lot easier

I've also thought about this. Imagine being able to design your own interface for it interactively too!

  1. Program and patch your devices in the container
  2. Right click on a parameter you wish to add to the "faceplate", which highlights them similarly to automated parameters
  3. Enter "design mode" and move/group your selected parameters where you want them
  4. Have the ability to add/place text, rename parameters labels, choose between different faceplate materials, etc

It would basically allow you to build your own modular VSTs :)

For even more powerful features, allow for the mapping of one virtual parameter on the faceplate to multiple device parameters! As well as be able to set independent min/max values for each parameter and adjust the curve to your liking.

Yes, very cool. I guess there is a lot of work to make all these possible - but it would be great and pretty powerful!
As a reference/example - Tracktion Waveform 11 has this sort of stuff on its rack plugin system.
