In order to have a clean mix I would like preattack on the compressor. Now, when I try to do this, I plug in an audiotrack as a sidechain, and use a full sample before the kick and snare. This is too complicated, so I request preattack on the compressor.

If you read the article, it gives you a hint as of how you could already implement look-ahead compression with a splitter, a delay and a compressor.
how about a pre-attack compressor. All the cool kids are doing it.
