Possibility to create "note tracks" for Hz settings

I'm throwing this idea here, tell me what you think of it.

It would be interesting and useful to be able to set automation tracks to be either controled by notes or dots (whatever the current control is). This would be available on all knobs that affect a Hz variable, and would display a normal note track on the timeline when activated. This could be extended to other variables, however this is not the main point here. To activate this feature, one would have to right click on an automation track and select a "note track mode" setting.

The default mechanism for that feature would be that all notes are attributed a specific hz frequency (A4 - 440hz), and when a note is played, that variable is setted to the corresponding frequency. Using the slide option on a note would make a progressive tuning of the variable, on the whole duration of the note. When no notes are being played, the frequency stays the same as the last note played. This note track would necessarily be monophonic, using the same mechanism as other synths to decide which note should be played.

Exemple of a use of this feature: when using a bandpass filter with high resonnance to tune a percussive sound, controling the hz with the current automation system is really long when trying to make a melody. Using this setting would make it a lot more intuitive.
