Hello, I just want to point out the piano roll in Audiotool, is confined to a certain note length, such as 1/16, and can only be changed be selected the bar where you can change the note length. I feel like this feature hinders (did i use the correct word there?!?!??) the creativity of melodies, as you can't exactly try out different rhythms very efficiently. Anyways, maybe I'm just bad at rhythms, so I have no idea on what other people think about the efficiency.

Oops, I forgot to say solution. A solution would be to have a magnetic snap for the certain note intervals, but notes you place are the same length as the last note you selected, that way, you can click in notes without having to drag them out, so you can get your ideas out clearly and efficiently.
I have adapted to the way Audiotool's piano role functions. How it works is that what ever size the snap is, also applies to the length of the note placed. If I have a unique note length, I use the copy/paste shortcut.
