Desktop Notes

Notes would be windows that save in the desktop that act as text editors that can be collaborative or solo.

In this way, I can remind myself not to prematurely publish a track and add vox chops and a bass break.

Or just add a list of things to do on a particular track.

Even better, it could be a way for artists to come up with lyrics collaboratively.

I just thought about something similar to this. Notes could be added to specific devices through an option in their context menu. Then the note could provide information about what to do with that specific device. An icon around the border could indicate the presence of a note and be used to bring it up in a window. Maybe an additional tab inside one of the panels could show all the notes together in one place.

I thought about this while checking our draft with the Pulverisateurs. I imagined short notes of the kind: "On this synth, filter env decay should be 0% and sustain should be 100%." Definitely twitter-like. I thought that it could be useful in a collaboration, to store information for participants in a more permanent way (for subsequent sessions) than just the messages on the chat.
