This is my concept synth for audiotool, the Tesla.

.

CHANGLELOG

-- V3 --

  • Changed color scheme to a blue Fade (I didn't like the purple :b)

  • Made the size of the "buttons" smaller

-- V2 --

  • Changed color scheme to a red/purple "Fade" by demand :p

  • Added master wave output

  • Added Grid for Filter and Envelopes

  • Fixed Modulation A-LFO to A-LFO2 otherwise it looks like there is only one LFO

Rundown

The Tesla is a synth with 3 Oscillators, A, B, and C, and can be set via wavetables after clicking on the wave.
It is made with a yellow and green theme, to contrast with the dark blue of the heisenberg and the brown/black of the pulv.

FEATURES

  • 3 OSCs

  • Modulation similar to that of the Heisenberg

  • Tuning, Offset, Level and Pan for each OSC

  • Individual Modulations to filter, one of 3 Envelopes, and one of 3 LFO's

  • Filter Modulations to Envelopes and LFO's

  • Easy to understand, interactive graphical interface

  • White sliders and numbers for easy usability

  • Noise OSC with Pitch, Pan and Level

  • Global Tune (semitones) Velocity, Master Volume, Glide, Detune (cents) Stereo

  • Unisono (1-4), Unisono Spread and Unisono Detune

  • Extensive library of sound waves with an option to create a wave

  • Simple and easy automation of everything

  • LFO Offset Functionality

  • Most importantly, Modulations, Volume, Pan, Level, etc. can be automated with the LFO by selecting Automate with LFO on the right click menu!

About

I made this concept in several hours, and would like it to be implemented at some point after next (please andré)

I made it so people would have an easier time creating synths with a Flat, Minimal design with nothing too complicated

Perhaps (maybe just a feature for next please) Right click menu can have an "about" tab where it says what a certain thing does, like Modulation

The LFO Automation, I think, would be the feature that sets the Tesla Apart.

The name, "Tesla" is made in honor of Nikola Tesla.

Endnote

I know that it would be difficult to add to audiotool, but I think that on maybe a second "Next" like deal, the Tesla could be implemented.

Please consider it!

in honesty, the purpose of this synth was to get the type of sounds produced in the massive

2017-10-29 15:59 · 2017-10-29

i like it but the colors are so wacky. it'd be cooler if the colors were less overwhelmingly vibrant. more sleek and chill like the heisen and pulv. less color variation too, so you can see the darn thing clearer.

i want 16 voices and random phase knob

2018-11-13 17:31 · 2018-11-13

very Serum, but thats all i need for good basses

2018-11-13 17:31 · 2018-11-13

Right, um, on a different feature request asking about wavetables, Andre said 3D wavetables are simply just a 2D waveform morphing over time... so to compensate for this right now, until the future, I'd suggest grabbing a splitter and a bunch of waveshapers (with different presets), merge the outputs of the waveshapers using a Merger, then audomate the splitter to focus on a certain Waveshaper and stuff. Quick little trick I learned from someone yesterday :D

2018-11-13 17:35 · 2018-11-13

turn the splitter on full curve, not half curve

2018-11-13 17:41 · 2018-11-13

if we cant make waveforms, let us sequence waveforms

2018-11-13 18:28 · 2018-11-13

@andremichelle the main difference is that this has serum-style wavetable synthesis, instead of ZynAddSubFX like Space.
This would be great for things like growls and modulated basses and leads.
Unfortunately I have lost the original pdn project but I might work on a new one with clearer wavetables and more features for Tesla V4.
One of the reasons I moved to ableton was the lack of proper wavetable support and I think that this would encourage people to be more adventurous with their sound design.

2018-11-13 18:30 · 2018-11-13

For V4 I would revamp/overhaul the LFO to resemble something more flexible, like, once again, serum, add a noise envelope similar to that of the Pulv (because I think that allowing .wav noises would cause another copyright issue and storage and live playback issues, too), change the "bound" to be easier to understand and more flexible (like with serum, again) and add a "matrix" tab to simplify things somewhat.

2018-11-13 18:32 · 2018-11-13

for me, space gets better and better

2018-11-13 18:32 · 2018-11-13

And probably a per-osc Detune, Blend and most importantly morphing modes like with Ableton's Wavetable, with PWM, Sync, Mirror, (bend, maybe), etc.
Honestly I don't know why I thought that the current version was good at all.

ooh

2018-11-13 18:33 · 2018-11-13

all of the warping modes are good, especially for leads

2018-11-13 18:34 · 2018-11-13

the volume is split between the inputs, not combined

2018-11-13 18:35 · 2018-11-13

oh! pleeease do filters like Serum, phaser is a big one, along with highband

2018-11-13 18:36 · 2018-11-13

All of this will be worked on, but it's gonna take a loooong time

2018-11-13 18:36 · 2018-11-13

keep requestin you have good ideas

2018-11-13 18:36 · 2018-11-13

I mean if this takes that long to make as a concept, imagine how hard it would be to create a functioning version lmao

2018-11-13 18:38 · 2018-11-13

im guessing space took forever, and it's still underfeatured
