I know that many people have submitted suggestions for a piano synth, or a guitar synth, but I made concept art for it.
Acoustic Changelog
V1: Created Acoustic. Image: https://i.imgur.com/OxSKW34.jpg
Feature rundown
The acoustic is a "synth" containing hundreds of recordings of pianos, guitars, organs, flutes, trumpets, violins and bass guitars.
There are many pianos, varying from electric to grand, many guitars, varying from acoustic to electric, to mute, to distorted, many violins, varying from pizzicato to full-bow and many basses, organs, flutes and trumpets.
They are not synthesizer instruments, but real recordings. of instruments.
Contains a filter, too -> With configurable HP/LP, dB/oct, and resonance. Not graphical, much like the pulverisateur.
Why do we need this?
Countless times I have loaded up Auxy on my iPad and send the WAV of the piano that I need and then import it as a sample. And when I do this, I can't change the notes.
I don't have a microphone (yet) so I can't record myself playing the Piano, guitar or organ (the instruments that I play) and they are really needed for me if I want to make a professional sounding track, specifically the Piano and Guitar, which I would use in almost every song.
I would love to see this implemented in audiotool next, (although it may take a lot of time to acquire licenses and gather samples)

Nice. I support this.
Also, can you upload the photo to a different site? I can't access the current one. I like the idea, but i'm sure it will be better if I was able to see what you have made.
Yes! Flutes good. Also guitar good. Actual piano is good to. Ooooo, maybe a sax too? The great thing about this is that new instrument sounds can be constantly added.
we need this ngl
YESSSSS
PLEASE
Yes, wonderful idea!
yes! yes! please! please! we need! we need! i need! i need! tell me what you think mr. hausmeister!
you have no idea I NEEEEEEEEED
Interesting idea! Would love to see this happen! :)
so this'll just be ignored..?
they always do that when i put concept art :/

I already have a horn. I'll see what I can do with the berg. somehow i believe every sound possible can be made with the berg.
It probably is possible to make something resembling stuff like pianos and violins and such but I don't believe it's possible to create sounds that sound exactly like the actual instrument which is what the point of this idea is for. This is essentially just samples of the actual instrument which some people want.
my horn sounds real :D
I like this idea, but where's the Level knob?
Even the Heisenberg has its limitations
the limits may be small, but they exist
There are a lot of limits with synths. Reproducing a piano, for instance, requires so many harmonics, because of the strings affecting each others and because of wood vibrations. Also the enveloppes and filter would need to change slightly in shape and lenght when the velocity and pitch are changed. It is possible to synthesise it, but the berg is definitly not powerful enough, and even with a synth that is powerfull enough you're still better off with layered-samples, which is what this is about.
this would probably be a lot of work to find samples and work it out, but i think it would really be worth it
cmon can the admins just pay some attention to this
+1
There was quite an extended discussion about this not long ago in a very similar post, with many ideas about how could it be best implemented (soundfont format).
@andremichelle thanks.
just to know, is there a possibility that this could ever be done?
perhaps by using some extreme compression or something...
if you want, I can try to acquire licenses for some piano samples, and I could provide some of my own piano and guitar samples, too. I play both instruments and I have a decent microphone.
i know but this has concept art
YES!
Whoa, this sounds like a sample-based synthesizer, even if it actually isn't! Good idea, this should be something new. :)
this is an okay idea
I LOVE this idea!
Good idea!
based!
i really understand. If only you knew how many times my computer shitted itself while using Shreddage Hydra LITE (Kontakt guitar). This shit is VERY resource expensive.
