This may be useful, perhaps when you want to offset a note track backwards by a few measurements at the start of a track, instead of shifting the entire project forward; a timeline feature in Ableton that's quite useful.
The way it works is that it generates a darkened out area of bars when you drag a note track region backwards from the start point of a draft. You can then set the start point of the draft (Bar 1.01) to the negative bar measurement that the note track starts at. It also allows you to set the start point of the draft anywhere else on the draft as an addition.
