It's really for odd cases. For me, I don't shoot for milliseconds but rather arbitrary fractions, so instead of limiting to 1/16, 1/8/, 1/6, 1/4, etc. I'd like to have 1/5, 1/7, etc. Would be easier to compose tuplets: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuplet
i mean musically it doesn't make that much sense, but i was thinking about using the arpeggiator with really fast timings together with some kinda sample on the machiniste, and then modulating the speed of the arpeggiator to create weird sounds lol. i could imagine it also working quite well if the matrix had some kinda one-shot mode? for creating really fast arps, kinda like those chiptune arps.

While musically, we'd think of "triplets" or groups of 5 or something, this might be interesting
André, If this track was made with synths, Matrix with arbitrary would help a lot: https://www.audiotool.com/track/bgn_ovr_vip/

"Matrix with arbitrary" → "Matrix with arbitrary timing"
I was just thinking about this, A SYNC toggle for the arpeggiation rate

my point is that it would be a good feature for creative/weird sound design
I support ms timing for anything delay/trigger related. Could be used for house stereo effect or that laid back syncopation feel
