It would be cool if we had more live drum samples on AT. The studio doesn't offer many safe live-drum samples and I think it would be useful for many indie pop/rock artists on the platform.

The "unsafe" means it MIGHT be infringing copyrights. But most of the time the loops like from looperman or something are royalty free
Also, you can find some good royalty free stuff from Cymatics loop kits
You can check out withdecay's drum kit samples or my recordings from smaking a snare about 3 dozen times in the meantime. I'm certain there's other people who recorded kits too.
nico has some great samples!!!
Well I mean the point is that they would be easier to find. Because a lot of Audiotool's drum samples and one-shots are drum machine samples, but it would be cool if we had access to more variety.
Yeah. Cymatics royalty free kits have acoustic drums in them. And acoustic one shots. You just have to find the right sample pack ;)
i should clarify that uploading cymatics samples to the audiotool library is against TOS and could get your sample upload privileges revoked (it's technically distribution)
I see ALOT of people doing that on AT ... Same with looperman samples
It's royalty free tho. So the rules are kinda stupid. The ppl who put it on looperman are ok with their stuff being shared all over the place. And Cymatics has pretty much the same idealogy
Maybe AT should partner with a better sample partner.
royalty free for use in any other DAW. but uploading cymatics samples to the audiotool library is redistributing them as your own; it's handled the same way as if you were selling them
not as familiar with looperman's policy but after a quick search thru FAQ i found this:
Ig if you kept them private and only used them for yourself you are not distributing and therefore not infringing. Am I correct?
not exactly. if you keep remix enabled they're still available to the public at that point
private upload + remix closed? that im not sure, but you might as well not risk it and upload safer samples instead
Ig you're right.
I'll do my remixes on FL I guess
I should make original stuff on here anyways, helps me get better at it :)
I'm intending to make more and keep mine mostly solely made by me.
