more control for the board

Some things seem missing from this that other forums have

i know you prefer separate topics for each suggestion, but all of these are for the board section so i figured it would be easier to group all of them into one topic

here are some things i think would help the usability of the board section:

  • bb code support
  • a mark as read button so we don't have to go to each section and click on each topic to remove the blue dot
  • drafts
  • ability to delete and close your own topics
  • some way of entering line breaks instead of paragraph breaks

i think just these few things would make the board feature so much more usable

WikiText does not (yet?) work in comments, only in the topic text itself.

so everything from wiki markup is supported? or is it limited?

No, only a subset is supported yet. If you are missing something important, please let me know. (btw, I just edited your topic to give you an example)

Can you elaborate on the drafts idea?

ok thank you for the edit, i was typing up a thread earlier and noticed that all of my line breaks were removed and it was just replaced with a space and put in the same line, although i see now that you can use lists instead

what i meant by drafts is being able to save your post and come back to edit it later without publishing it

also imbedding images and youtube videos were some of the features i was thinking of when i asked about bbcode

newlines can be accomplished by inserting two (!) blank lines. I must admit that is is kind of counter-intuitive, but that's how it's done in wiki text...

Multi-request. Some were done, some are duplicates, some were rejected.
