Presenting a workshop and the Projector has an old school resolution of 800x600. Running AT in lower resolutions has the devices tab taking up a lot of screen real estate. Where the timeline snaps to a hidden bar at the bottom, the Devices tab does not. I feel that would be an easy change and improve screen real estate on older screens.

it is hideable; just click on the active tab again to hide the sidebar
What do you mean by "Active Tab"
yeah this is already hideable, I can't remember exactly how to do it but I can post a screenshot when I get home
the three buttons on the top-right corner; just click on the currently highlighted one to close the whole tab
shown below: sidebar is closed
@infyuthsion I'm disappointed in you :/
That doesn't do anything. It just expands the timeline. Update: Ah... The "+" Icon. I was clicking the buttons on the Desktop Layout tab. That's very un-intuitive... I still stand behind this post.
1.) The devices tab should snap closed, by click dragging the edge. Like the timeline for consistency.
2.) The button for opening and closing the sidebar should be located with the other layout buttons, as well as having an option in the "Window" menu.
I smiled when I imagined Khaby Lame showing you the + button and then reacting like - wtf 🤣.
You are the Veteran here so was pretty confused that you didn't know this basic thing.
There's lots of stuff about Audiotool I still don't know. Now I know
Always feeling fresh!
A button that says "Add new stuff to your track" Doesn't seem like the button you press to hide a window.
oh dang, didn't notice it says so. That looks more like a built in IQ test then!
best part is that its not just the + icon; if you are in the other two tabs you click on the respective tab icon to close the entire tab
While you can resize the devices tab by dragging its vertical edge, you cannot collapse it completely. I agree that it should behave like the timeline. I also agree that clicking the top icons to hide it isn't the most intuitive UI design, I just got used to it.
