Live monitor option

So firstly, I want to say that I'm fairly uneducated about the current engine and infrastructure that AT runs on so this may make no sense at all. On top of that, this has likely been suggested before and I even recall seeing something similar in the past, however, my search hasn't yielded anything, unless I've missed something.
In the post about the live record feature (https://www.audiotool.com/board/manual/audio_live_recording-nuy65x), it mentions that browser applications are "inherently bad in handling real time audio." Considering that this was 3 years ago now, I wonder if this has changed/is more feasible now.

Audiotool is the DAW I am most comfortable in but making music that utilizes instruments with heavy rhythmic and effects-laden elements can become a nightmare due to not being able to preview those things in-app on top of everything else. I love the sound and vibe of AT effects and being able to run inputs directly into them would save a lot of time re-recording and fine-tuning. Currently, it's a gamble whenever I bring my recordings into the app to find out that the specifics of the recording/performance/instrument settings need to be changed in order to play nicer with AT effects and the overall mix scheme. My current solution is to run AT in parallel with a native standalone DAW but this becomes very clunky and again, I can't really get a feel for what it will ultimately sound like. A live monitor option either built-in to the audiotrack or as a separate device would be extremely helpful. Latency is, of course, the main issue here, but if utilized for simply previewing effect chains I don't necessarily see it becoming too much of an issue.

Some further suggestions for this include:

-Input switching

-Polarity flipping

Thanks for listening, team!
