List publish date/time

I think having the exact date and time would be more preferable over the about X year(s) ago

Additional

Also would prefer if the date would be presented by exclusive local format. For example: American viewer would read "mm/dd/yy" while European viewer would read "dd/mm/yy".

oh well, I don't have any counters. Maybe in the area where the bpm/views and sample license are present, you could include the date there. That way we both win, no?

I support this. I am more interested in seeing what year and month (but not necessarily the exact time) I posted old tracks in, rather than rounding to the year and having to calculate roughly what time of year it was posted in. Any modern websites with post functionality including Twitter, Instagram, even Soundcloud in certain cases all have a datestamp on them. I'm strongly for this.

I want it because I get to compare my tracks improvements more efficiently. If i made 2 tracks within the same year, I'd love to know how far apart I finished them. It's just a personal preference really, I can't give you an objective answer.

Bumping this. Seeing several tracks all dated "about 5 years ago" isn't very useful. Having the exact date would be great.

We should have this in Audiotool. i say this cause it easier for people to remember what day and what time they join this site and when they upload a track.

We already have this, just do Ctrl+U on any track and scroll down until you see "DatePublished"
However, accounts don't have this, and so It just goes off of their oldest known track.
This is where problems arise, as my oldest non-deleted track was in september 2015, but I created my account in february 2015, so it should say "About 3 years ago", not "About 2 years ago"

for example, grimebot was published on:

this means that the data is already there, so could we have an option in preferences, something along the lines of:

  • A "site options" tab
    and inside it:
  • View exact date created
(then you could have the options as:
  • View approximate time (what we have currently)
  • View exact date for tracks
  • View exact date for tracks and users
    something like that)
I'll create a remake of the settings panel with something like this somewhere hidden on http://zrxware.tk

Just an idea about this. If AT decides to keep the "About X months/years" format, they could at least add a tool-tip with the exact date and time that would appear when hovering the format. That could be an acceptable compromise.
