Alright. As the title suggest, being able to have optional ad-ons would be very, very helpful. These add-ons would be something to help the professionalism of Audiotool without its users missing out on anything if they opt not to use them. Maybe we might have an ad-on that allows us to pop the midi out and have it in a select window that we can transfer to another screen. That's just to serve as part as an example, but when I think of an add-on I think of having something similar to a soundboard (and in some cases, which I will describe, literally a soundboard) the is open in a separate program, tab, window, or anything that would work that'd allow you to have a program/window open where we can, by clicking a button within Audiotool, transfer our pop out midi to that window. Or maybe you can do this with a heisenburg or pulversaitor (and others). We can simply create a new window in the add-on, project the selected device to that window, and see the device on another screen while we work on our project so that we can adjust things more efficiently. Maybe we can even choose a specific track, instead of the whole menu, to put in this window, and add others along with it, with the ability to arrange them as we would in the regular browser. Or we can take all of the Tube, Phaser, Chorus, etc. devices attached to maybe a heisenburg and throw those in a window together. You can select what you want by doing an area select and then add/subtract the ones you want from a menu, or you can choose a specific device and check all of the devices in connection after it that you would like. You could also click an icon that allows you to manually select each device individually and then transfer those only, or all but those selected.
It sounds a little stretched out for Audiotool, but I don't want this to just go out the window. It, to me at least, seems like a great idea to keep in mind for future reference if it doesn't sound viable, relevant, or necessary at the moment.
