I mean, it is tho
Id say a genre like "Sound Engineering" with a bunch of unorthodox experiments would be really cool instead of just adding them to "experimental" since experimental music is different from just assorted sound design
@chordofdestruction Unsure if you have seen this recently, but seeing as you are working on a genre overhaul, I thought it a good idea to make sure this gets recognized.
The whole thing if added will become abused meme trash category, where some really cool stuff will not be found since you will have to scroll through trash first.
It's good to have such plan. Sounds simple and straight forward. But as experience shows there is always a way to abuse something and once that way has been found it will be used big time.

are you talking about like.. actual engines?
like
2jz , rb26 and shit?
I'd be in favor for a genre called "Effects" where people can publish synths to be included in other projects without interfering with real songs.
But maybe a genre isn't the right solution for that.

Thanks for mentioning. Yes this is a good candidate. Either we bring up a whole genre/category for this or offer some tags to find those experiments.
I think the defunct templates were meant for this kind of thing and would be a good solution. There are a few requests to bring them back.
Wrong board.

I mean that already happens anyways
just look at the hardcore genre
memes will be #meme, experiments will be #experiment, engines will be #engine, sound design will be #sound design
