For small screens like the 12" MacBook I'm using, vertical screen space is crucial in the Audiotool workspace. And, as you know, the peak meter, takes up quite a bit of space in that regard. This feature would allow you to optionally move the peak meter to either side of the screen as is appropriate for your individual needs, (top, bottom, left, right, undocked, and hidden).
