The ability to speak to others through private messaging within the site. This could spare the community from public drama (possibly), and just be an overall convenience when you'd like to remain in audiotool when you interact with other users. It could be located underneath the bubble for your avatar, and an inbox could be in the dropdown menu in the top corner.

This has been discussed a few times in the past. At the moment the consensus is that there is too high a risk of negative comments (internet bullying basically) for this to be implemented at this stage.

Maybe you can also have the option to not have direct messaging available on your page? So if people don't want others to talk to them, they can turn it off?
