Okay, so hear me out.
Audiotool is about the brightest website in my browser at any one time, and it can't really be helped.
It uses a lot of whites and it's difficult to navigate... healthily, during late hours. (That in mind, a cool name for it could be late hours)
Anyways, it would be nice if you could optionally change the css of the website for darker settings. (Night, or dark rooms). It's easier on the eyes.
I would attempt this myself (through a Chrome extension), but, as it turns out, Audiotool.com has an extremely unconventional structure and it's evolving constantly. (And doesn't necessarily have an open API for me to mess around with knowing that any changes won't break the code).

We are using less.css for creating the stylesheet, maybe that's why it looks weird. a simple approach for you to experiment would be to download the css file and search & replace color codes
That's what I did but there are weird unnecessary borders on the newsfeed that I can't override among other things
I did happen to find a nice Chrome Extension that exists: Dark Mode (a global dark theme for the web).
By setting the option to Dark Invert #10 you get a nice layout for Audiotool that retains much of the colours.
Mind you, some gradients don't fit as a result, but that's to be expected.
I always thought that the font size on the old website was way too small. I wouldn't have associated it to cool. I think that the font size that comments have (like this one) in the present design should be the one used for the main body copy. But I think that the present design is closer to an ideal one than the old one. https://pielot.org/2016/01/optimal-font-size-for-web-pages/
Oooo, that looks sexy.
yes please
its glitchy, though. thumbnails for tracks go dark. There's a highlight around everything that won't go away. the track bar at the bottom goes black.
OOOUUU
not as bright as discords light theme
Honestly, this is a great idea. Im all for a darker bg so my eyes arent scorched
you can make the rest of the browser dark by using incognito mode XD
are you sure?
yes i am sure
Seems good
I wish every website on the internet could have this feature, honestly.
idk fam, discord is actually near perfect setting
shit, that was a month ago :P
