Pinned topics don't stand out enough from others. As a result, topics that are pinned and topics that are closed look nearly identical. I would suggest that all pinned topics be marked with a push pin icon ( examples: https://thenounproject.com/term/push-pin/) instead of a lock and maybe even a different background color (maybe light grey or sticky note yellow). This would make a clear difference between closed and pinned topics.
