I've had a few problems with publishing/saving (Getting stuck somewhere and not continuing) and since there isn't a cancel button, I've had to refresh in the middle of the process which just creates a lot more problems. Some way to cancel a publish/save safely would be really nice.

It still might be a good idea to have a cancel button. Just in case.
There are many, albeit obscure, reasons why you might want this as a feature.
What if you just listened to your track, clicked publish, but realized you wanted to modify something really quick? (This actually happens with me regarding the Flash app frequently, and since this feature is available in the flash app, I can modify what I want to).
Then again, I've never published anything through Next yet, so maybe there is a cancel button, I'm not sure.
