When you bounce a section or the entirety of your track to Probe, the former "Export" option under the file menu is limited to Upload. Because of the nature of sample upload on Audiotool and the fact that decoupling audio snippets or entire mixdowns from the user's assets should be preferable (programmatically/ethically). This feature should be added back into the currently limited version.
Audiotool has been unordinary laggy for me in hefty drafts using the Booster. I exported a section of the track in order to continue working on it by importing it into GarageBand to come up with alternate chord progressions and melodies. (1) The sample is upwards of 50s long, so I can't upload it in its entirety (2) if I want to export it, currently I have to (a) upload 2 halves of it privately (b) navigate to the sample api, (c) download each .WAV; this should not be the case.

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but bouncing for the key purpose of exporting without publishing, shouldn't work for entire tracks in my opinion.
I suggest it should be time limited like the sample upload. Having to publish your track to the audiotool community is a key part of the ecosystem that shouldn't be easily circumvented.
I would appreciate the ability to bounce and export assets made with audiotool for the purpose of safekeeping (backup, sharing, etc), but this could also make it very easy to steal assets and reupload them as your own, creating a multitude of issues.
I don't exactly love the idea of selective treatment, but a "trusted asset manager" or "verified uploader" program could make these features available to those who seek to use them for the benefit of the community.
