That would take a while dude. Different coding, different layout. If there was a future for audiotool to have a desktop app. There should be a lot more wiggle room for new synths and effects.
Hey why not use a search button in the board before u make another thread about AT app, that has been posted gazillion times and answered gazillion times.
that is pland i think, but it will take years and years b4 that
Well, that is true, but it's possible :3
Yep
Hey I don't know a whole lot about desktop development, but I think Electron looks like it could help: https://electronjs.org/ I think it's supposed to let you build a desktop app with web languages, so in my head I just imagined you guys copying all the Next code over to the desktop app, but again I probably have no idea what I'm talking about :). Electron uses Chromium.
The desktop could still be able to connect with/publish to the Audiotool community and pull from the sample and preset libraries. Also, if there was a desktop app, we could use any samples we wanted, since samples are disabled right now. However, to prevent people from uploading and publishing samples they don't have rights to, the desktop version stores all the samples the user uses on their computer, therefore Audiotool isn't liable for samples people use. You also wouldn't be able to publish songs with unauthorized samples to the community, so there should be an export to WAV function.
I don't know, I just thought of this idea and wanted to share it. The one thing I really want out of Next right now is using samples.
