Seems more like a feature request?
You mean this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron_(software_framework)
I'd understand the request for a stand-alone application in general (which electron wouldn't provide, btw), but why do you think one should use electron? What are the benefits over other frameworks?
iirc, electron is the best for "porting" web clips over to desktop applications, like discord and atom editor. I think its the simplest one, so thats why.
What would be the difference between a browser app and an electron app? Isn't that the same as PWA (https://www.audiotool.com/board/chitchat/can_audiotool_be_a_pwa).
Wouldn't it just be the same app with the same features with the same dependencies but with a different window border (and maybe without tabs)?
essentially they're the same thing - pretty sure there are no dependencies, and with the booster becoming less and less needed, there wouldn't be any "hooking" issues.
The point of it is, honestly, to have a larger working area (while not being fullscreen) and also, to look better and more professional than a browser window.
