ads are what at needs, but they need to be user ads. let users patronize at and get promotion in return! solves two problems in one. and users could get like 50% of ad revenue and actually make smth off audiotool. then at could offer an ad free version of at on patreon, and get even more revenue while maintaining relevance to at and not direct traffic elsewhere...

They did experiment with ads but everyone got pissy about it, not sure if this would work all that well.
