There are dangers of having GIFs, as explained in comments I left in https://www.audiotool.com/board/feature_requests/site_addition_ideas to for-warn the possible epilepsy-related effects for GIFs. But being able to embed images would be a great idea!
This is an awful idea because people would misuse it to put inappropriate images on others walls, or their own. There are a percentage of younger people who use Audiotool and even disregarding them this site should be mainly used for music.

risky and complicated to incorporate into audiotool but I can see why people would want this on here. this would make audiotool much more social imo

It could go both ways and I see great and bad things coming from it. Like if we could embed photos or screenshots, then it could make helping others a bit easier without going into the studio together or just guiding them by word. On the other hand of course, there are people on here who would misuse it. I remember some dude that joined a couple years back and set his pfp to hentai so.

Solution for misuse: Require each person to sign a contract before they are able to post images. If they break the contract, their permission gets revoked and they have to wait 30 days before being able to sign the contract again and regain the permission to post images. This might be a bit difficult to do, but it might work.

Guys lemme tell you guys why you should add pictures. For one, there are admins and moderators, and its NOT a lot of work to delete pictures, I've worked as an admin. Second, most of the time and most of the people here are kind and disagree towards p### and other things like that, and if you have a right mind WHAT YOU PUT ON THE INTERNET, STAYS ON THE INTERNET, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO.

Proposal: Yes we could have image embeds, but there will be restrictions. In order for people to use image embeds (and maybe video embeds), they must sign a contract where they promise to be appropriate. If they break the contract, they have to wait 30 days to sign the contract again. After signing the contract, they can use any image in a set database. To use other images, they must sign an additional contract that would be available to them 10 days after their image embed contract was signed. If they break either contract, they are back to square 1 and have to wait 30 days and then an additional 10 days. An account must be at least 30 days old to see the first contract. If contracts are broken 5 times, there is no more cooldown, and only the admins can return access.

Sounds cool but they would need more server space for those images to be stored on the walls and whatnot
New proposal: The same as the original, but you have to be a patron or something. Or, have the originally proposed system but patrons get less restrictions. Maybe patrons would be exempt from some of the stuff (to a certain point).
