Add an easy way to see the global charts, like before the genre charts were made. This makes it possible to easily see what cool music people are making in audiotool and encourages originality in peoples tracks instead of trying to fit into some specific genre. I feel like having to browse for specific genres also makes it harder for me to get inspired by new, more original music, which to me is the essence of what audiotool stands for (or what it used to stand for).
I also think the global chart should be encouraged through the UI (maybe put it before the genre charts). This would help people develop their own style and keep music new :)

You mean like.. Single charts? Check the homepage of audiotool and scroll down for Single charts.
You can even search for tracks regardless of category (ignore my deleted comment lol) https://www.audiotool.com/browse/tracks
it's nearly invisible tbh. very hard to find, especially if you are a newcomer. i've been on audiotool on and off for over 4 years now, and i feel like all the creative and original music i've heard on here has died away since the last time i was active. personally, i think this is why.
To me, creative music died ever since trap became popular. I disagree that it is not easy to find the search category because it's in front of your face, not really sure how you can miss it. Unless I am missing something? Maybe you are using a phone?
when you click on "music" the first thing you see is a bunch of genre buttons, the first one being trap. and you wonder why the charts are so full of trap tracks? the genre system just ends up boosting genres like trap to the top of the charts. i have no problem with trap, it's just that the charts are nowhere near as diverse as they used to be.
I assume you are using the mobile version of the website since I can see more than just buttons. I can see 'Genres' which is where I am at and I see 'tracks' 'albums' 'artists' 'suggestions' 'latest from followers'
imo tracks -> popular -> month should be the default page when you click on music
Yes me too, or maybe even select what category you want to choose first (fenre, tracks, artists, latest...) I do not really care much about what category a track is in.
My suggestion would be to do something with the front page. Since Megaphone was introduced, I have never used it AT ALL, simply because every time I log in all notifications are on the front page, I don't even think about clicking on megaphone icon to see them. So the question is why? Leave the megaphone for notifications and bring up popular music on the front page. Instantly when I log in I have all the hottest music in my face, and if I want to see notifications, I use megaphone for that.
