Now it is necessary to display the on-screen software keyboard to be able to use the computer keyboard to play a synth. I'd like to still be able to use the CAPS-LOCK keyboard shortcuts without first having to make the software keyboard visible. It would make previewing the synth's sound faster, saving a context menu call, and it would reduce clutter on the desktop. It would also be consistent with the idea of a keyboard shortcut: being able to trigger an action without using pointer and GUI elements.

that was never really a priority for me, but that would be nice. One problem is how we can control the octaves. A solution would be the Page Up and Page Down keys or the number keys.
It was so vital for me back in the day to have the caps lock shortcut. I wanted to hear what my synth sounded like without me having to set them in stone in the note track. Please bring back this feature!
