I am sick and tired of all the drama on Audiotool.
I do not know how it came to exist, because when I joined almost 2 years ago, everyone was nice.
There was little drama.
And I had a passion to make music.
Recently, there seems to be ALOT of tension going around.
And that is causing people to delete their accounts, and then recreate another one once ready to come back.
I, myself, am getting to a point where I am on the edge of leaving Audiotool for good.
I can't get a mental break.
I am asking, for the sake of all the people that are stressed out, and ready to give out, that we could develop a feature where you can hide your profile from the public.
That way, you don't have to delete, and re-create, and then restore accounts.
This feature, if considered, should have a way to hide and unhide whenever you please.
Also, the user's music wouldn't be hidden so people could still listen to it.
I hope the devs, and mods consider this.
It's a much needed feature.
(This topic is NOT about account deletion. It is about the freedom to hide your alias from the internet temporarily)
Thank you for the good times I've had so far, *LVBeatz*

fire idea
certain people can be whitelisted and stuff
I mean yeah, but that's more the security and personal following preferences topic.
what are you talking about? i have been consistently on here for years and there has been hardly any drama regarding the account deletion. sure, some of my friends have deleted their accounts but that’s because of personal related reasons not audiotool drama
this might be something just on your end, not a feature everyone needs
I agree
the so called “drama” has only been intolerable for you i guess, if there even is any
I wasn't focusing on account deletion.
I was focusing on the ability to hide your alias from the internet and still be able to make music.
then make an alt and work there?
The point of this idea was so you don't have to make an alt.
And also to have your wall and everything else hidden, so no one is commenting, and distracting you.
i dont exactly get the request here…
It's fine bro. I just wanted you opinion.
There is 2000 more people on AT that could share theirs.
The best method is js make an alt and under a diff name, and try to stay mysterious on it.
ppl wont know who u are if u do that
you could do a couple of things here
you could mute people that are bothering you
you could delete all the comments on your wall but this is time consuming
you could do “following only can comment” and unfollow people giving you a hard time
but i also like this idea too, the one you are requesting as it circumvents all of the options i listed above
@itsyahboi the point was to not make an alt, although im not exactly sure for the reasoning behind that
Ig. It was just a different idea. I am for innovation, and new solutions.
If I ever have the ability to create an alt, I might do that. ( cant create another email without permission from parents)
@noah_cheng
I could do those things, but I don't really feel like hunting down every person that annoys/stresses me.
This is a "when I need it" feature
Being able to hide in the Internet is an awesome idea. If you do not want to deal with the degeneracy (as you have described), you could just become invisible (also as you have described). You cannot harass or bother or distract or mess with an empty void. The people in Audiotool who create accounts purely to sniff around for sensitive people and troll them to (possibly literal) death would have a hard time and would likely go away and thus decrease the overall degeneracy of the Audiotool community. There is a lot of good things to come from this. I have counted, already, 2 pros and 0 cons. If there are more pros and cons, people can feel free to reply and list them below. This is an idea that I agree with.
Thank you so much.
Share this around. I want this idea to be known
Have you tried clicking this button
he needs a mental break man!!!
I pressed the button
This is genius and I agree. This needs to happen.
Honestly how does that button help out? The wall is still visible, the track list is still visible, albums are still visible, etc. etc. etc. I am one of the many people who avoid clicking Logout btw. I just don't see why I have to.
I don't wanna logout. The whole point of this is to be able to use the Studio while having your alias hidden, so you attention is only focused on music. Also, it'll just make it better if all you want to do is listen to music.
i mean that’s why you could make an alt
it would make things easier and hide your identity from the public
especially if u dont interact w the community then no one will know who you are
i mean if u really wanted im sure you could get an elujin like case on your account but that isn’t good at all 😭
@landfill
This just takes the extra step of making an alt out of it.
It would also be toggle-able so you could hide or unhide whenever
