what if instead of having a vertical and horizontal automation option for the merger and splitter, what if instead it was automation options for every splitter output/merger input, and if all three were equal, regardless of where it was equal at, it would always level out in the middle.

Not a bad idea. I like this but how will it be efficient?
it be a lot more simple than the vertical and horizontal automation. it would be easier to automate and more intuitive.
