A device that's like a mellotron

I'm pretty interested in the technology in mellotron, and I was thinking about a device that has soundfonts, and looks like a mellotron.

A lot of sounds can be in this mellotron, like a organ, a piano, string sections, a choir, harps, etc. There can also be slope and attack/release/decay knobs to customize the sound. There can also be a pitch knob

What do you guys think about this?

its different from a soundfont loader, since it will look like and sound like the mellotron, but more hi-fi

You mentioned Soundfont, which is just a file format and the underlying mechanism of whatever sound the instrument would produce, mellotron or any of the others you mention (piano, strings, organ, choir, etc). You can check the other topics, this has been discussed a lot already.
