As a sound designer, having a bipolar mode on the waveshaper effect will allow me to create assymetrical distortion effects, such as replicating fuzz pedals. This will also be great for bass producers wanting to create different textures for their growls and basses, or for any producer wanting grittier/noisier sounds. Therefore, audiotool's waveshaper should get a bipolar mode.

I like the idea.
Asymmetry may introduce so-called DC into the signal. We'd have to take care for that. Otherwise your output could be clipping while being silent.
