Im looking to get a better pair of headphones (i use skullcandy dime rn), the pair Im looking at is around $150-175 (max i can really afford is like $200), since Im also trying to get a computer Im penny pinching right now, and Ik secondhand is cheaper than new. I can clean them, so Im not too worried about that aspect. Im more worried about sound quality degradeing or like hardware issues. Im looking at skullcandy crusher evos btw (xt cuz its a bit cheaper but the same damn product)

    • Poor soundstage

      Bad imaging

      Terrible battery life

  • naa u culd go 4 beats solo they only $150but it is worth it trust me they be hitting diff

  • You're better off with Audio Technica ATH M50x.

Buying consumer headphones (beats, skull candy etc.) won't help your production as it colours the sound.

Other options include the Beyerdynamic DT series too, but I believe they're a bit more pricey.

Secondhand can be fine, you would just want to check that there's no rattling in the drivers (the mini speakers in each cup) and that everything sounds even in both ears.

    • aight yeah, i honestly did not know that studio headphones could be that cheap lmao.
