So I wanted to briefly draw attention to some projects I plan to initate after the official release of Audiotool Next ( which, if you missed it: https://www.audiotool.com/board/news/audiotool_next_launches ).
Much of Audiotool has been anticipating the official release of Audiotool Next for years now, and with the reemergence of sample upload, I genuinely think it will improve the Audiotool community for the better moving forward. But there's so much to be done in turn:
Sample Packs
I'm not gonna lie, I've been watching a lot of Andrew Huang lately ( https://youtube.com/andrewhuang ) and decided to buy a Zoom recorder again so I can make dynamic, unique, and colourful sample packs exclusively for Audiotool and market some more premium ones under the Apollo brand, including riffs and bits from physical synths.
I have reached out to Audiotool about partnership, but haven't yet received a response. Perhaps the proof is in the pudding, so we'll have to see as I start releasing them
With this, I likely will make YouTube videos to accompany them showcasing the compilation and curating of the samples, in part to show that they are indeed original. Hopefully I can create at least a pack per month initially, to get the momentum going and learn as much as I can in the process.
Practice Sessions and /prod/ Weekly
If you follow my music, you might've noticed that my second alias https://www.audiotool.com/user/fridgemeat has been fairly consistently releasing https://www.audiotool.com/album/fmAuWU . I do want to learn as much as I can when it comes to music and the best way to learn is to learn by doing.
I've also been apart of a community through Discord ( /prod/ https://discord.me/prodthread ) that does a weekly producer challenge that I may take part in infrequently as well through fridgemeat
Audiotool Podcast
As the Audiotool community continues to grow in both number and quality as the release of Next and an improved system for sample upload approach, utilising the feature itself to upload interviews and sessions from the podcast to Audiotool itself(which will be better available than its predecessors across platforms in full length).
Discussion would likely include artist interviews, up and coming tracks, emerging genres, features, development, tips and more. Unfortunately, however, because of the initial limitation of the sample upload feature, full episodes will not be available on Audiotool
The Phoenix Project
As mentioned ages ago, and making due on my promise to the community, bringing back the Genesis Network ( https://www.audiotool.com/user/genesisnetwork ) in the form of the Phoenix Project is crucial in this stage of Audiotool’s history and to the community here.
If you remember anything about Genesis, bear in mind that the former wave system is being scrapped, though scheduled releases will continue. Artists will be admitted in the coming year.
YouTube
As I’ve mentioned in earlier topics I do want to get into the space of YouTube ( https://www.audiotool.com/board/chitchat/apollo_does_youtube ), especially when it comes to the underserved Audiotool community on the platform. My main focus will be tutorials and specific things related to the platform, but ( in addition to creating samples and packs ) I’ll explore doing vlogs, interviews and whatnot later on
Parallax and Releases
I list this last because I still feel as though I’m nowhere near where I want to be as a musician. There is so much I’d like to learn, achieve and experience. This is just the beginning. I want my debut album to reflect not only where I’ve been but where I’m going and where I want to go with this.
Expect more soon.
If you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know!
Thanks for the support <3

I was thinking of trying to get together whoever was interested on Audiotool, some kind of free sample-creation collective of sound designers. Perhaps you would be interested
cough Piano notes would be nice
I would definitely be interested. Let's get in touch
Piano notes made from… sandpaper and spray cans?
That's even better
Don't forget the "shake a cup filled with ice"
