I feel you on that.
I don't really dislike anything about creating music but sometimes i find things very difficult and it sucks, especially when music and art in general is my greatest passion. helps me relax, helps me vent, helps me think, helps in all sorts but it can also have it's downside of creators block and other difficult obstacles
but i think that's just a part of being an artist. and human.
[lately i've been struggling with creators block. unable to really make melodies.
have to really find a way to not dwell in my thoughts of being in a state where i am unable to create anything that satisfies my goals in making sumthing and rather just experiment or take it day by day to find/ create sumthing that once again satisfies my need to be creative and innovative]
I have the exact same problem lol, I'll be imagining something really cool, and when I actually try to implement it, it just doesn't sound anything like I want it to be. Usually happens with synth design and drum patterns/sound. Another problem is when you have something really cool sounding, but it's in it's proto-stages, and you can't figure out what to add or what to change to take it to the next level, and it just ends up drifting towards the end of your drafts list.
When something just doesn't work with me. I've had many times where I try to start a track, and the ideas don't end up being catchy or extravagant enough. Or even when you feel like revisiting an old project, but anything you change just makes it a million times worse.
That, and mixing in general. My recent obsession with trying to find the perfect mix of mono-compatibility and stereo wideness especially. I still haven't made that work in audiotool yet.
chords are easy,
Melody is easy
for me. its just trying to keep it at least 75% original, or not super generic
it most effects me in when im trying to figure out what to do for a drop

"I made this cool loop!"
"Wait, what do I do now?"
"I'll figure something out later."
And then 2 years pass and you have approximately 300 of those
When a mix sounds just a bit off.
You publish it, and for some reason it sounds muddy.
You go back, boost the mids and highs, and republish.
Now it sounds thin and the hi hats really hurt your ears.
I feel like Goldilocks sometimes
coming up with a really good concept and making it and it sounds absolutely fantastic, then realizing you have no fucking idea how to fill up the rest of the song
i hate it when i have a cool idea, but then I have another one, and then another one, and then another one, until I've got like 70 different bits and pieces but not an actual song...
I struggle to make my music sound creative. My tracks are allways too boring to be something complex or too complicated to be minimalistic. I believe it's because i suck at EQ, effects, mastering and so on, while melody itself is OK. I think it may be lack of expirience with creating music with synths, samples ect.
I hate it when I have an idea how I want track to sound like, but I don't know how to achieve it.
I have a musical background. I have been an instrument performer since I was in second grade, but I can't find much info on digital audio engineering that doesn't cost $. (I'm kinda broke...) I'm willing to put in as much time as it takes and a lot of effort, but I can't find the learning material or anyone to teach me. Everything I know is from trial and error + the Welcome to Audiotool Next video that I watched when I first made an account.
having feelings for music and inspiration and the next day I get inspired by something completely different, losing the feeling I was going for with the piece.

all in all
i can't really dislike anything about creating
because i understand that everything has/needs balance.

that's a run-on sentence and a half lol
perfect

I usually have ideas but ehh it never works out
Finishing 99% of the track and not wanting to do the last 1%.
Like maybe there are 4 bars in the track that don't feel right and I don't know what to do with them.
chords r hard
you spoke my deepest thoughts.
Here's a cool lesson of music theory in 30 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgaTLrZGlk0

Putting my ideas into the daw
I struggle putting socks on my hands
For me its trying an idea and not quite executing it properly

Metabolism
For me, it's trying to get a clean mix and trying not to sound generic.
when you listen to something that is cool and you try to come up with your own...
mixing. hands down.
being able to publish my last fucking song but theres "an error" on your side ???
Being simple enough to not trying to make a "WTF"
music.
bruh u just started -_-
i said the intro back then now, its mastering and fills. (transitions)
we live in a society

im the complete opposite if i get an idea it turns into a song.
Origami music is challenging
i wouldn't recommend it

Would anybody on here be willing to teach me?
Does anyone know how to add my own mp3 files to my song?
trying to not make a beat that I heard earlier
Well if you're "not" trying to make the beat then make something that's completely different
creating music
A rhetorical question, i can relate
@looper im not good at tatt because I hear a beat someone else has made and when i try to make my own it sounds like that one
I start off with something really cool and then get stuck ... and just scrap it off and start something new:(
yess that too
Melodies, always melodies
I second this strongly
music.

and Ill back you up on the idea that you cannot translate, results in depressive states in me.
