You can still post your music in the Spotlight board, or the Audiotool Facebook group. But the number one strategy is to simply make better music. I don't mean this sarcastically. Really good music that hooks you from the first beat sells itself. Even if you don't do any promotion, good tracks will be listened to, and not so good ones will be ignored. And accept that your own sense of satisfaction with a track doesn't necessarily mean it's good. The audience will determine that.
