what did it feel like?

what did it feel like to reach a big milestone for the first time? 100 followers, 250 followers, 500 followers. what did it feel like to be able to look at your account and see something successful? to see that you had made an impact on a sizeable amount of people. im just curious how those of you much more highly rated felt when you crossed from underrated into the highly recognized category.

and possibly what even helped you reach that point.

I think the thing I most enjoyed was the first time I was really satisfied with how a track turned out.

Having something come together and being proud of it is the greatest feeling imo

i can agree with that, finally finishing a song and being able to listen to it over and over again enjoying it just as much as you would other people's music, but so much more because in the back of your mind you cant help but keep thinking that "hey. this came out of basically thin air. me. a creative fellow. just an average joe took an idea and made something magnificent from it."

when i hit 100 followers i was like "cool" and got more inspiration to do stuff
but eh every other hundred it was just eh, maybe when i hit 1k i will feel something

That's an interesting point! How is it that you take specific follower numbers as big milestones at all? What do these numbers mean for you as an artist? How do you draw the line from underrated to highly recognized? What does that mean in terms of creative evolvement?

  1. i don't
  2. nothing
  3. i don't know tbh. maybe if it isn't noticed by that much people and it has a follower range of 1 to 50,000

i think its different for every person. i dont think there is a line between underrated and not underrated. i just think theres an epiphany to be had by everyone going into higher numbers when they realize "holy shit... thats a lotta people"
