What are your favorite DAW plugins?

I am never leaving audiotool for good, I love the website. I am just interested in expanding my music production skills by exploring different technologies. I have learned how to use other DAW software as well as some 3rd party VST plugins. It is just hard figuring out where to start, because If I am going to learn how to master certain virtual instruments, I want to be using the best ones no matter the price. Some of Native Instruments VST's are able to use other 3rd party add-on's such as Kontakt and Reactor so I wouldn't know which add-on's would be the best ones to use. Even some freeware virtual instruments are able to get more interesting sounds than that of more expensive and professional ones. If you have a favorite of any of the following, please list them and tell me why you like using them: Vst plugins for any synthesis category (additive, subtractive, modular, etc.), any vst 3rd party ad-on's I would need, vst sampler plugins, vst synth emulation plugins, vst effect plugins (reverb, delay, eq, etc.), samples, sample packs, any other type of plugin you would recommend.

well i know that serum and massive are good, though i've never used them. i have personal experience with alchemy, which is a super cool sampler and can make excellent pads and other noises, it's extremely versatile

Thank you. I will look into alchemy, I'm unfamiliar with that one. I heard that serum and massive are similar, massive is like NI's version of serum, but serum is more flexible. I don't know if it would be best to use serum/massive, or try to replicate certain sounds through more flexible but less powerful plugins.

alot of people say serum is better because you can apparently do everything massive can in serum plus alot of other stuff or something. but I don't have serum.

Valhalla Reverb is fantastic as well and unbeatable in this price range

Xfer records Serum, Harmor, Valhalla Reverb.

OTT is a good way to bring out your sound, Vallaha Reverb or if you need a free reverb TAL reverb. If your using FL studio Maximus is a good mastering tool. Massive or serum for synths (Although I personally find massive a lot easier). Even some of the default FL studio plugins are okay, Harmor, Sytrus and such. And also TDR Nova is a good free EQ or just use the DAW's default eq (Most times it doesn't make a huge difference).

Shockwave Flash which will soon be taken over by HTML5

I suggest picking just one synth and learning it. The problem with having a million synths is you don't get to learn all of them and you just pick random presets instead of actually getting work done.

Honestly best value for Money is Zeta+2. It was the first VST I bought, and I have bought many more but Zeta just does so much. PM, FM, Waveshaping, All the effects, a really huge amount of stuff in the mod matrix.
