I personally love this genre but I never see it here. If you see this thread, give wave a try! If you don't know what wave is, this is a good example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-lZiR9_4-E
It's really quite easy to make!

See the problem is
We kinda have too much trap already
I do agree, I have no clue what this genre is but it would be interesting to see more of it
We do have too much trap, I agree, everyone's doing the same thing but, wave is a genre I'd like to see people try. It's kinda like future bass (not in sound but in quality), you can't really go wrong with it if you do it correctly
Hi there. I found several "wave"-genres. Which are you referring to? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_electronic_music_genres
Is Sadtrap a genre on its own or simply trap with a sad mood?
I may try it then
I think VSD made wave stuff, idk because he hid all his tracks
Wave technically is trap, but is very ambient as well. In my opinion it's like a very high quality and emotional version of trap. Not really something you'd dance to but something that you'd vibe to, kinda like ambient music in general. Sadtrap can be more basic, but is a very sad version of trap. Kinda like xxxtentacion or especially lil peep.
The artist arlowe on this site would do wave often. I really enjoyed his music, but, after he left, no one else really did wave, and I'd love to see people's different and unique styles blended with this genre.
Each time I hear "wave", I automatically think of 80s synths and pop: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_wave_music Nothing to do with trap, although there could be some recent overlap: https://www.highsnobiety.com/2016/08/11/soundcloud-wave-music/
If you want to know what wave sounds like, this is a very good example. The artist gin$eng is a staple name in this genre.

No we don't.
We don't need ANY MORE TRAP on audiotool. At all. I am sick of the entire genre and ALL OF its subdivisions.
Thanks for your opinion man, this is only because I think wave is underrated and would love to see other people give it a try. Music is music after all.
By this measure we wouldn't have any music at all - there's always a genre one cannot stand.
But I agree, it should be possible to kind of mute a genre. This, in turn is only possible if all trap producers are able to tag their tracks correctly.
