My Fellow Audiotool Users
As you all have been aware, these past few months the online dating here on audiotool has spiraled out of control. The moderators and admins are quickly losing control of this situation, and more and more there are people making "catfish accounts" and dating accounts. This is not okay. This is putting the youth of the world at risk of abuse, and if this continues further, accounts like this:

will continue to appear more commonly. This will no longer be a safe place to create, share, and enjoy music. This MUST be addressed as the problem it is.
Suggestions for the moderators and staff
The majority of these edaters are children joining from school accounts. I highly recommend, on behalf of the teachers and myself, that you revoke the right to comment, as well as chat (video text and audio) on the live drafts. While this might not stop some from using this site as a dating site, it will still cut the numbers by a significant margin.
Final thoughts
Audiotool is a place to create music, not to engage in romantic relationships with others. While I believe that free speech is important, and that censorship is wrong, when it comes to the subject of children on the website, I do believe that restrictions should be implemented in order to create a safe and fun environment. Many have found careers on this site, and I believe that if this behavior continues, this may no longer be a good option for a browser based daw, and I fear that the website will shut down.

If you see someone using AT as a dating site, please report the account. its in the conditions when you create your account. This is one way we all can do something about this problem.

yes please. someone asked me if i wanted to date them after i had already told them that i was taken and i immediately muted. please mods and staff of audiotool, do something about this because its extremely annoying, creepy, and potentially dangerous as well.

As much as I appreciate what y'all are doing, I also hope that this wave of internet justice doesn't become as much of a problem as the original one. It should be out of concern for the community, not bloodlust nor spite. Other than that, y'all are doing great work. Nice to see some much-needed clean up occurring!
